A growing number of defectors from the Syrian army are filling the ranks of the opposition forces. Soldiers who were taught to believe the opposition was made up of so-called "terrorists" are questioning the government after seeing the violence with their own eyes. Fayez al-Abdullah is one of many soldiers who changed his mind after the army attacked his hometown. He shares his story with Al Jazeera on how he defected from the military.
